2020 NFL Power Rankings: Jacksonville Jaguars

Throughout the 2020 NFL season, we will compile a consensus NFL Power Rankings that averages the rankings of all 32 NFL teams.

Here is where the Jacksonville Jaguars rank in terms of average, best and worst:

Below you will find a Week 14 roundup for the Jaguars in our consensus 2020 NFL Power Rankings.

The Athletic -- Rank: 31

Best-case scenario: They land the top overall pick. They had a chance to increase their odds last week, but the Jets blew it. The Jaguars also had a chance to decrease their odds by beating the Vikings, but they blew it. So they're pretty much in the exact same spot they were in prior to Week 13. Jacksonville has a 25.9 percent chance to land the No. 1 selection and a 97.2 percent chance for a top-three pick.

CBS Sports -- Rank: 31

They are battling and showing life, which is a good thing for the next coach. They almost had the first pick, but the Jets just couldn't give it to them.

USA Today -- Rank: 31

RB James Robinson likely won't win offensive rookie of the year honors, but he's 51 yards from setting a record for yards from scrimmage for an undrafted first-year player in the common-draft era.

ESPN -- Rank: 31

Person with most at stake: LT Cam Robinson

The easy answer is head coach Doug Marrone, but he is unlikely to return with a new GM coming. Robinson is in a contract year, though, and while he has been a good run-blocker, he has struggled in pass protection. His pass block win rate of 80.9% ranks 59th among offensive tackles. The new regime is going to have to decide whether to pay him -- 20 offensive tackles made $10 million or more in 2020 -- or let him walk. Robinson needs a strong performance over the next four games (Tennessee, Baltimore, Chicago and Indianapolis). -- Mike DiRocco

NFL.com -- Rank: 31

The Jaguars have perfected the art of almost winning. They've lost four of their past five games by four points or less, the latest a 27-24 overtime defeat to the Vikings. We imagine this to be a deeply frustrating team trait for the coaching staff, but it's also keeping Jacksonville alive and well in the "race" for the No. 1 overall pick in April's draft. In fact, the Jags would be sitting in the driver's seat of the Trevor Lawrence Sweepstakes right now if not for Gregg Williams' blitz tendencies. Meanwhile, Gardner Minshew is begging to return to the starting lineup. The problem may be that Doug Marrone never did come down with a case of Minshewmania.
