Tennessee Titans Mock Draft Roundup 7.0

Throughout the year and leading up to the 2021 NFL draft, we will update our Tennessee Titans Mock Draft Roundup showing picks for the Tennessee Titans from several prominent sites and draft analysts.

EDSFootball - Donahue (3/23)

22. Jaelan Phillips, EDGE, Miami (FL)

The Titans had the third-fewest sacks in the league last year with just 19 and it looks like they will be losing Jadeveon Clowney on top of it. They did make a big splash with Bud Dupree, who signed a five-year deal and will certainly help create some pressure off the edge, but they still could use an upgrade along the defensive line. Phillips, who has had some medical issues and even "retired" from football briefly, may be the most talented defensive lineman in the draft, as he was the No. 1 high school recruit in the country.

NFL.com - Brooks (3/23)

22. Greg Newsome, CB, Northwestern

After moving on from Adoree' Jackson, the Titans could opt for a steady cover corner with a well-rounded set of skills.

The Athletic - Beat Writers (3/23)

32. Greg Newsome, CB, Northwestern

Trade: Pick acquired (along with No. 95) from Tampa for No. 22.

The Titans have to be as productive in this draft as they were empty in the last, and they traded down here to get an extra pick -- giving them five in the top 100 -- and still get their guy. Plug Newsome, who allowed only 12 catches for 93 yards in six games according to Pro Football Focus, right into a starting lineup that just lost Malcolm Butler and Adoree' Jackson for cost-cutting purposes. It is tempting to look at Minnesota receiver Rashod Bateman here, but there are tons of options at that position, and the Titans will probably use two of those next four picks in the top 100 on that spot. -- Joe Rexrode

ESPN - Kiper (3/22)

22. Kadarius Toney, WR, Florida

With Corey Davis leaving in free agency, this is a really thin wide receiver depth chart behind A.J. Brown. Toney could have a few different suitors in this range, and Ryan Tannehill would love him. Toney could contribute as a dynamic receiver, runner and returner, and new offensive coordinator Todd Downing should get him the ball 10 times a game. Toney will do damage out of the slot: In his career, he averaged 15.6 yards per catch when lined up in the slot, adding 10 scores.

CBS Sports - Wilson (3/22)

22. Greg Newsome, CB, Northwestern

The Titans cut cornerbacks Adoree Jackson and Malcolm Butler and signed edge rusher Bud Dupree. And while they could certainly target another edge rusher here, Newsome is one of the best cornerbacks in this class who has the physicality to match up against NFL wide receivers.

PFF - Renner (3/22)

22. Christian Barmore, IDL, Alabama

A defensive tackle? Well, A). Barmore is that good; he earned a 91.5 pass-rushing grade as a redshirt sophomore that led all defensive tackles in the country in 2020, and B). the Titans have clearly prioritized the trenches this offseason after cutting their starting corners and signing Bud Dupree. Barmore and Jeffery Simmons would be a problem.
