2020 NFL Power Rankings: Indianapolis Colts

Throughout the 2020 NFL season, we will compile a consensus NFL Power Rankings that averages the rankings of all 32 NFL teams.

Here is where the Indianapolis Colts rank in terms of average, best and worst:

Below you will find a Week 14 roundup for the Colts in our consensus 2020 NFL Power Rankings.

The Athletic -- Rank: 11

Best-case scenario: Philip Rivers is able to play through his toe injury, T.Y. Hilton builds on his Week 13 performance, and they win the AFC South. It's tough to know what to expect from this Colts offense down the stretch. Rivers is already limited athletically and is now playing through a toe injury. Indianapolis could be down to its third-string left tackle in Week 14. The good news is Hilton had his best game of the season against the Texans, catching eight balls for 110 yards. The Colts' offense relies on efficiency, but they need someone like Hilton, Michael Pittman Jr. or Nyheim Hines to give them some consistent juice down the stretch.

CBS Sports -- Rank: 8

That was a good road victory against the Texans, even if it wasn't always pretty - especially for the defense. Now they face a tough road trip to Vegas to play the Raiders.

USA Today -- Rank: 13

Is it really all that surprising QB Philip Rivers is battling through a foot injury likely to require surgery given he once started a playoff game with a torn ACL? And he's not just displaying toughness, he's playing his best ball of 2020.

ESPN -- Rank: 11

Person with most at stake: WR T.Y. Hilton

Hilton appeared likely to be headed out the door via free agency during the upcoming offseason because of the slow start to his ninth NFL season. But the 31-year-old Hilton has shown some positive signs over the past two weeks. He followed up an 81-yard receiving game against Tennessee in Week 12 by adding 110 yards -- his first 100-yard game since December 2018 -- and a touchdown against Houston on Sunday. The final four games are not only big for the Colts to possibly make the playoffs but for Hilton's future in Indianapolis. -- Mike Wells

NFL.com -- Rank: 11

"That was a little bit of serendipity ... a little bit of good fortune." That's how CBS color man Rich Gannon described the ending of Sunday's game for the Colts, and the former MVP wasn't wrong. The Texans were at the Colts' 2-yard line when Deshaun Watson couldn't handle a bad snap, leading to a game-sealing Colts recovery in a 26-20 win. The victory, paired with a Titans loss to the Browns, moves Indy back into a first-place tie in the AFC South with four games to play. The Colts are a tough team to figure out: The ups and downs that marked Sunday's win felt like a microcosm of the entire season to date. The offense is particularly unknowable -- Philip Rivers and Co. put up 24 points by halftime before being shut out in the second half.
