2021 NFL Power Rankings: Green Bay Packers

Throughout the 2021 NFL season, we will compile a consensus NFL Power Rankings that averages the rankings of all 32 NFL teams.

Here is where the Green Bay Packers rank in terms of average, best and worst:

Below you will find a Week 16 roundup for the Packers in our consensus 2021 NFL Power Rankings.

ESPN -- Rank: 1

How hot is Matt LaFleur's seat: 1. Cold seat

Three division titles in three seasons. That pretty much says everything that needs to be said. If anything, LaFleur is in line for a contract extension and should be one of the favorites for NFL Coach of the Year -- as the Packers quickly overcame an embarrassing, 38-3 season-opening loss to the Saints, and they now are in line to grab home-field advantage in the playoffs. -- Rob Demovsky

NFL.com -- Rank: 1

Green Bay's defense has been at a consistent top-10 level for the majority of the season, so we'll give it a mulligan for a fourth-quarter letdown Sunday that nearly allowed Tyler Huntley and the Ravens to escape with a dramatic comeback win. The Packers got the stop they needed on Huntley's two-point conversion attempt, and as a result, they are NFC North champions for the third straight year. Aaron Rodgers, meanwhile, is now in the driver's seat for his fourth MVP award (and second in as many years). Rodgers posted three more TD passes and has been the league's best quarterback for the past month. Crunch-time performance counts in this race ... or at least it should.

CBS Sports -- Rank: 1

It wasn't easy at Baltimore, but they found a way. They have a nice hold of the top spot in the NFC. The defense didn't play well against Baltimore.

USA Today -- Rank: 1

The first team to 11 wins and first to lock up a playoff berth, Green Bay secured its third consecutive NFC North title -- all under Matt LaFleur, the third coach since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger to win at least 11 games in his first three seasons as a head coach. He's a sublime 39-11, including playoffs, through 50 games. If you're QB Aaron Rodgers, why would you ever want to leave?

The Athletic -- Rank: 1

Our gift to you: A finale that out-Last Dances "The Last Dance." What does that include? An NFC Championship Game win over Tom Brady at Lambeau Field, a second consecutive MVP award for Aaron Rodgers, a game-winning touchdown from Rodgers to Davante Adams and a five-part documentary with behind-the-scenes footage and hours of interviews with Rodgers, Matt LaFleur and Brian Gutekunst.
