2021 NFL Power Rankings: New York Giants

Throughout the 2021 NFL season, we will compile a consensus NFL Power Rankings that averages the rankings of all 32 NFL teams.

Here is where the New York Giants rank in terms of average, best and worst:

Below you will find a Week 16 roundup for the Giants in our consensus 2021 NFL Power Rankings.

ESPN -- Rank: 27

How hot is Joe Judge's seat: 3. Warm seat

It's actually starting to get warm as the losses pile up even though Judge is in his second season. The Giants don't want to continue this vicious cycle of firing coaches every two years. They already did it with Ben McAdoo and Pat Shurmur. Team co-owner John Mara has admitted regret for cutting it off so quickly with McAdoo and as recently as midseason still was a full believer in Judge. It makes it hard to believe the Giants would fire Judge after this season, unless it only gets worse in the final few weeks. -- Jordan Raanan

NFL.com -- Rank: 30

Daniel Jones' third NFL season is officially over after the Giants moved their quarterback to injured reserve with a neck injury. In some ways, Jones' latest season was a lot like the two before it: He flashed legit ability as a passer and runner, but the New York offense never consistently performed as the Giants remained an NFC also-ran. The job of Big Blue management is to discern how much of the team's struggles connect to Jones, and how much goes back to failures in coaching and talent acquisition around the former top-10 pick. Jones' future ultimately depends on who is running the show at the Meadowlands in a couple of months. Stay tuned.

CBS Sports -- Rank: 30

The injuries have decimated this group this season, but they haven't played very well either. They will make changes. Count on it.

USA Today -- Rank: 26

Welp, Daniel Jones, your season is over. Have this free medium soda and get healthy. Meanwhile, this organization has all the film it's going to get before deciding whether to pick up the quarterback's fifth-year option and commit to him financially for two more years.

The Athletic -- Rank: 28

Our gift to you: A merciful early end to the season. What's left to learn here? Daniel Jones won't return this season, and it's not like Dave Gettleman needs more evaluation time on this roster.
