Cleveland Browns Mock Draft Roundup 3.0

Throughout the year and leading up to the 2022 NFL Draft, we will update our Cleveland Browns Mock Draft Roundup showing picks for the Cleveland Browns from several prominent sites and draft analysts.

For a more inclusive lists of mock drafts for the Cleveland Browns, check out our Cleveland Browns Mock Draft Database.

The following are picks in recent mock drafts for the Browns:

CBS Sports - Chris Trapasso (1/20)

13. Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas

Burks is a horse in the open field due to his size and chiseled frame, rebounds it well down the field, and isn't a stiff route runner.

ESPN - Mel Kiper (1/19)

13. Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio State

This was a pretty easy pick for me, because the Browns should take the best receiver left on the board. If they really are committed to Baker Mayfield for 2022 (and beyond), they should get their quarterback some help, because this is now two straight seasons in which they've trotted out a subpar receiving corps for the second half of the season.

Wilson, who caught 70 passes for 1,058 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2021, can play outside or in the slot. He's a great route runner who can also run away from defensive backs after the catch. And the Buckeyes star doesn't have to go too far if Cleveland takes him.

The Athletic - Dane Brugler (1/19)

13. Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas

The Browns passing offense desperately needs another playmaker and Burks has the ability to create big plays. He has an outstanding blend of size (6-3, 228) and speed (4.45) with the tracking skills and catch radius to be a quarterback's best friend. Burks, who led the SEC with 22 plays of 20-plus yards in 2021, reminds me of a linebacker-sized Deebo Samuel.

PFF - Austin Gayle (1/17)

13. Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio State

Wilson has improved every season of his career at Ohio State and caught 70-of-102 targets for 1,058 yards and 12 touchdowns on his way to an 84.1 PFF grade in 2021. He's a smooth route-runner with spectacular-catch ability and dynamism with and without the ball in his hands.

Baltimore Sun - C.J. Doon (1/14)

13. Drake London, WR, USC

Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is gone and Jarvis Landry isn't what he used to be. Donovan Peoples-Jones, a former sixth-round pick, was the Browns' leading receiver in 2021 with just 597 yards. The 6-5, 210-pound London, who led the nation in contested catches before suffering a fractured ankle, would give Cleveland a true No. 1 threat.

Athlon Sports - Bryan Fischer (1/13)

13. Chris Olave, WR, Ohio State

After the OBJ mess this season, a drama-free receiver who runs impeccable routes and can stretch the field seems just like what head coach Kevin Stefanski can use to help jump-start that disappointing offense.

San Diego Union Tribune - Eddie Brown (1/13)

13. Devin Lloyd, LB, Utah

Linebacker will be a priority once again if the Browns lose Anthony Walker and Malcolm Smith in free agency. The Otay Ranch product can rush the passer (he had eight sacks), impact the run game and make plays in coverage -- he had four interceptions this season.

USA Today - Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz (1/12)

13. Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio State

Cleveland appears content to sign up for another year of Baker Mayfield at starting quarterback, but that doesn't mean the passing attack should be status quo. The receiving corps will need to be reworked, particularly if Jarvis Landry ends up a cap casualty. Electric after the catch, Wilson is exactly the kind of target Mayfield needs to make life easier on every down.

For The Win - Charles McDonald (1/12)

13. Chris Olave, WR, Ohio State

Baker Mayfield appears to be in charge of the Browns so here's a wide receiver to appease him.

The Draft Network - Joe Marino (1/10)

13. Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio State

There has been plenty of discussion about the direction of the offense and if Baker Mayfield is the guy to move forward with. Regardless of who is playing quarterback in Cleveland, that guy is going to need more receiving talent than what currently exists on the roster.

Garrett Wilson is a versatile receiver by alignment and has terrific hands. Simply put, the game slows down for him at the catch point. He would provide a major boost to a Cleveland passing game in need of options.
