Minnesota Vikings Mock Draft Roundup 1.0

Throughout the year and leading up to the 2023 NFL Draft, we will update our Minnesota Vikings Mock Draft Roundup showing picks for the Minnesota Vikings from several prominent sites and draft analysts.

The following are picks in recent mock drafts for the Vikings:

The Athletic - Dane Brugler (5/3)

14. Kayshon Boutte, WR, LSU

Maybe it is the No. 1 LSU jersey, but you can't help but see shades of Ja'Marr Chase when watching Boutte, especially on catch-and-run plays. He needs to stay healthy in 2022 after missing the second half of last season, but his playmaking talent is undeniable.

Draft Wire - Luke Easterling (5/3)

13. Kayshon Boutte, WR, LSU

Speaking of aging veterans, Adam Thielen turns 32 in August, so the Vikings could be looking for a long-term running mate for Justin Jefferson. Boutte has the well-rounded skill set and big-play ability to be the perfect fit.

Fox Sports - Jason McIntyre (5/3)

13. Paris Johnson Jr., OT, Ohio State

Tagged as a future star for a few years now, Johnson will finally get the opportunity to play tackle, which is what he'll do in the NFL.

PFF - Michael Renner (5/2)

14. Bryan Bresee, IDL, Clemson

The No. 1 overall recruit in the 2020 class, Bresee just has to stay healthy. He earned an 81.2 pass-rushing grade as a true freshman in 2020. He played only 152 snaps in 2021 before tearing his ACL.

CBS - Ryan Wilson (5/2)

15. Kayshon Boutte, WR, LSU

Adam Thielen will be 32 in August and although the Vikes drafted Jalen Nailor on Day 3, Boutte is a special talent. Plus, in today's NFL, you can never have enough pass catchers, especially with the escalating WR salaries (see Justin Jefferson, should he want to get paid).

The Draft Network - Joe Marino (4/30)

13. Myles Murphy, EDGE, Clemson

The Vikings have a potent pair of edge rushers in Danielle Hunter and Za'Darius Smith but both have notable injury concerns. Murphy is a power rusher that has met the high expectations of his high recruiting status at Clemson.

The 33rd Team - Michael Schottey (4/30)

17. Michael Mayer, TE, Notre Dame

A throw-back No 1-style passing target from the tight end position, Mayer is a walking mismatch and there are probably only a few handfuls of defenders in the NFL who would be able to line up and cover him one-on-one.

Pro Football Network - Cam Mellor (4/30)

19. Noah Sewell, LB, Oregon

Another of the Sewell family is set to join the NFL. Noah Sewell becomes LB1 in this 2023 NFL Mock Draft. Sewell is a massive man at 6'3" and 251 pounds, yet he moves like a shifty slot receiver. He has great strength and an amazingly well-rounded skill set.

Sewell can drop in coverage well, react to the run game, and has an uncanny ability to understand when to pick and choose his shots in the blitz game. A three-down linebacker in the mold of Devin Lloyd becomes another cornerstone defensive piece on the Minnesota Vikings' defense.

Barstool Sports - Steven Cheah (4/30)

14. Eli Ricks, CB, Alabama

The Vikings went Andrew Booth Jr. in Round 2, but this could be Patrick Peterson's last year, so they'll need to continue to invest in the secondary. Ricks will get top flight coaching and could go even higher in 2023's Draft.
