2014 Fantasy Football PPR Mock Draft: Round 12
Scoring: This mock draft is based on re-draft leagues (2014 season only) and based on point-per-reception (PPR) scoring. Passing touchdowns are worth four points while rushing and receiving touchdowns are worth six points. Receptions are worth one point. In addition, one point is earned per 25 passing yards, 10 rushing yards and 10 receiving yards.Mock Draft Start Date: Saturday, July 12th
Mock Draft End Date: Tuesday, August 5th
Four of our site's contributors — Kevin Hanson, Brendan Donahue, Sean Beazley and Dan Yanotchko — will make picks for three teams of this 12-team mock. The mock will go 14 rounds with no kickers or team defenses selected.
Although this is a slow draft, we will post picks as they occur, along with comments from Kevin Hanson, instead of waiting until the entire mock draft is complete.

Here are Round 12 results:
12.01 - Dan Yanotchko (Team 3): James White, RB, New England Patriots
Despite his size, White is viewed internally by Bill Belichick as a three-down back. Per ESPN Boston's Mike Reiss, coach Bill Belichick recently said the following of White in an interview with Sirius XM Radio:
"It’s been good working with James White. He’s a very interesting and versatile player," Belichick said on the program. "He does a good job in the passing game and in the running game -- both inside and outside. Blitz pickup -- we have a pretty extensive offense for him to learn, but he’s working hard at it. We’ll just let him go and see how it goes, but I think he has the ability to compete on all three downs, in both the running game and the passing game."
With both Shane Vereen and Stevan Ridley entering contract years, White has more value in dynasty than re-draft leagues, but it appears that White will have an opportunity for a sizable role as a rookie as well especially considering Ridley's fumbling issues.
12.02 - Kevin Hanson (Team 3): Charles Sims, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

12.03 - Brendan Donahue (Team 3): Chris Ivory, RB, New York Jets
Ivory carried the ball 182 times for 833 yards and three touchdowns last season. Even though Ivory averaged a career-low — but still solid — 4.58 yards per carry last season, he has averaged 4.88 YPC over his four-year career. When it comes to his involvement in the passing game, the good news is Ivory tied a career high in receptions last year. The bad news is that career high is two catches.
Splitting the workload fairly evenly with Bilal Powell last year, I wouldn't expect a jump in touches this year with the signing of Chris Johnson in free agency.
12.04 - Sean Beazley (Team 3): Philip Rivers, QB, San Diego Chargers
Rivers bounced back so much last season that he also took home the NFL Comeback Player of the Year award. With three 400-yard games in the first five weeks, Rivers got off to a great start but he then posted more modest numbers the rest of the way. Among QBs, Rivers was fourth in fantasy points through Week 5, but he was only No. 14 from Weeks 6 to 16.
12.05 - Sean Beazley (Team 2): Knile Davis, RB, Kansas City Chiefs
With some durability and ball-security concerns coming out of college, Davis, an All-SEC first-teamer in 2010, is a physical freak — 4.37 forty and 31 bench press reps at the combine. Getting roughly five touches per game as a rookie, Davis should see a slightly larger volume of work in 2014 as Jamaal Charles' backup.
12.06 - Brendan Donahue (Team 2): Ahmad Bradshaw, RB, Indianapolis Colts
As poorly as Trent Richardson ran the ball last season, it's hard to tell what fantasy owners will get from him in 2014. Even though the Colts will give T-Rich a shot at being the team's featured back, Bradshaw could turn out to be more involved than most would expect. Of course, Bradshaw has had a history of foot injuries and durability is always a concern, but he has upside as the RB55 in this mock.
12.07 - Kevin Hanson (Team 2): Doug Baldwin, WR, Seattle Seahawks
Baldwin had 50 receptions for 778 yards and five touchdowns, virtually identical to his production in 2011 (51/788/4) when he put up solid production as an undrafted rookie. With Golden Tate now in Detroit, however, Baldwin will have an opportunity to set career highs in receiving this year although being the No. 2 WR in a run-first offense caps his upside.
12.08 - Dan Yanotchko (Team 2): Ladarius Green, TE, San Diego Chargers
We saw a glimmer of Green's upside last year when he had nine catches for 206 yards and two touchdowns in a three-game span. Especially with the relative lack of depth at receiver behind Keenan Allen, Green has the potential for a breakout season in 2014.
12.09 - Kevin Hanson (Team 1): Lance Dunbar, RB, Dallas Cowboys

12.10 - Dan Yanotchko (Team 1): Odell Beckham, WR, New York Giants
It's not easy for rookie wide receivers to make significant impacts and Beckham won't play in the preseason opener tonight (August 3rd) as he continues to deal with a hamstring injury. With excellent speed, hands and route-running ability, OBJ will eventually be part of the team's three-WR sets with Victor Cruz and Rueben Randle. I have him projected for a stat line of 48/667/4.
12.11 - Sean Beazley (Team 1): Ronnie Hillman, RB, Denver Broncos
Even though I think C.J. Anderson will ultimately win the right to back up the obvious starter (Montee Ball), Hillman has been the team's No. 2 running back in camp and has been received positive reviews from running backs coach Eric Studesville. Studeville recently said of Hillman: "From when we started this spring in April forward, he has been unbelievable. He's a completely different guy in the best possible way and I'm just excited about what he's doing, how he's approaching it, how he's making plays on the field."
12.12 - Brendan Donahue (Team 1): Bryce Brown, RB, Buffalo Bills
There's no denying Brown's talent, but he's behind C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson to at least start the season on the team's depth chart. That said, the Bills led the NFL in rush attempts (546) by a wide margin; Seahawks were second with 509.
Only 23 years old, Brown has game-breaking speed and gave fantasy owners a glimpse of what's possible when he rushed for 347 yards and four TDs in a two-game stretch as a rookie in 2012. (Of course, the other possibility is the three lost fumbles he had in those two games as well.)
